10 die in Chinese boat accident

10 people are said to have died in southwest China, after about 4 boats carrying around 84 people capsized on Sunday. The tourist boats in Qianxi city in Guizhou, capsized as a result of strong winds – the incident has lead to the hospitalization of 70. China is said to be celebrating a long May day holiday week, with the number of tourists across China the highest during these days. President Xi has called for stricter safety regulations of the tourist operators. China is currently in the midst of a trade war with America, after being singled-out by the American President – Donald Trump – for high trade tariffs.

Let’s Pray:

Father Lord, we pray and ask for rest in the hearts of the loved ones of the departed. We ask that the injured make a full recovery. We ask that this great nation of China with its 1.4 billion people to hear, repent and believe in the good news of the message of Christ and His salvation. We pray for open doors for missions into China. We pray for the faith of the churches in China to be strengthened and to endure. We pray for the purity of the Gospel message to be preserved from all prevalent communist influences. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray and ask. Amen.

Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brethren, what shall we do?” 38 Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.”

Acts 2:37-39
