Remember that our membership to the Kingdom of Heaven has changed how we live on earth. This world may seek revenge on those who have wronged them. They may fight fire with fire. Not so with us. We are to rejoice in our suffering (Rom. 5:3), turn the other cheek (Matt. 5:38), and bless our enemies (Rom. 12:14). This does not leave us defenseless – it only means we serve a God who is a God of justice and will fight our battles for us. All we have to do is fix our eyes on Him. The God Almighty is our defender. With Him for us, who shall be against us? Remain encouraged!
