China battling destructive floods

The northern delta province of Guangdong, China’s most populous province (home to about 127 million people), is submerged in floods after destructive summer rains over the weekend. The heavy rains have resulted in many landslides, collapsed houses, leaving 4 dead and 10 missing. So far, about 110,000 have been evacuated from their homes. Rescue and relocation efforts are still underway.

Let’s Pray:

Father, protect Your children in China from the natural disasters that are ravaging them. Turn Your countenance towards them and have mercy, O’Father of all mercies. Save those who are in distress and need Your help. Meet everyone who has lost something, at their point of need. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.”

~Isaiah 43:2
