A year’s worth of rain fell on Wednesday in the regions of Valencia on the eastern seaboard of Spain, killing 95 people and leaving many more still unaccounted for. More than 1000 rescue workers and military have been deployed in the region for rescue missions, with still more predicted rainfall incoming.

Father Lord, we pray for the comfort and peace of everyone affected in this flood. Please cover those still lost and waiting for rescue under Your wings and may they return back home safely. We pray for strength and protection of all those involved in the rescue efforts, that You will guide them in Your grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
