Atleast 25 people are reported to have died in Midwest-U.S., after deadly tornadoes ripped through Kentucky and Missouri states. The spring months of May and June are ripe for creating violent storms and tornadoes in this region of the U.S. Midwest commonly known as the “tornado alley.” The transitional season causes the warm and cold air to meet – causing imbalances in the weather system. More than 5000 homes and other building have been damaged, with more than 140,000 people left without power in both these states. With more severe storms having been predicted, warnings have been issued to the residents to remain at home and take caution.
Let’s Pray:
Father, we pray and ask for the peace in the hearts of those lives shaken up by this tragedy. We ask that they would turn their hearts to You and find comfort in Your presence. We ask that You would continue to protect Your children living in these vulnerable areas with Your outstretched arm, that no harm would befall them or their dwelling places. We ask that You would turn the heart of this once Christian nation back to You in sending Your revival fire upon them. That all may know You as their Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name, we pray and ask. Amen.
‘Do not fear, for I am with you;
Isaiah 41:10
Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, surely I will help you,
Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
