My Father’s Feathers

In every step and every season
I see the shadow of Your wings, Heavenly Father,
Your feathers glisten like a million lights.

I see Your shadow as You cover me with Your feathers
when You fly above me, high up in the sky,
even higher than eagles. You have the greatest strength.

Your shield protects me. And with piercing eyes,
You watch over me. You fly over my path
and You lead me on the way I should go.
You show me the direction to Your kingdom.

like newly hatched chicks, I have no fear.
Though I cannot keep myself warm, You shelter me under Your bosom
How I feel safe in Your presence !

Through thick and thin, You are there.
Just like You stood beside the Israelites in the wilderness,
You will never forsake nor abandon me
You shine forth Your light and You make a way for me.

The shadow of my Father’s feathers guides me
He is my shield and my strength
The horn of my days.
