On February 28, 2026, the Middle East entered a state of high-intensity conflict as the United States and Israel launched “Operation Epic Fury” (also known in Israel as “Roaring Lion”), a massive joint military offensive against Iran. U.S. and Israeli forces carried out coordinated air and sea strikes across Iran, targeting military infrastructure, missile facilities, and command centers in Tehran, Isfahan, Tabriz, and Bushehr. Explosions were reported near the offices of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, who was moved to a secure location. President Donald Trump stated the objective is to eliminate “imminent threats” and prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu characterized the action as removing an “existential threat.” Both leaders explicitly called for regime change, urging the Iranian people to “take their fate into their own hands.” Iran immediately launched a “crushing” response, firing a barrage of ballistic missiles and drones at Israel and U.S. military assets across the Gulf.

Let’s Pray:

O Lord God, before whom nations bow, we come before Your throne of grace in this hour of global peril. As the Middle East is engulfed in conflict, we never cease to seek Your face, pleading for the preservation of the world You beautifully created. Do not deal with us according to our sins, but as You showed mercy to Nineveh, relent from bringing total destruction. Lord, stop the tension rising like a volcano. We cry and ask that You reverse the work of the enemy and cease the war in the Middle East before it consumes the world. As the world undergoes an epic transition in power, take full control from the spiritual realm into the physical. Let this moment pass without further interference from evil, long-term violence, or new plagues. Touch the leaders of the nations involved. Grant them a wise and understanding heart. Replace hearts of stone with hearts of flesh, guiding them toward immediate reconciliation and humble peace. Lord Jesus, be our Good Shepherd. Make a way of escape for Your people, supply every provision, and guard our children from the “wolves” of war. Let this hour of crisis become an hour of repentance. May the Gospel of salvation reach every leader and nation, bringing light to lands overshadowed by death. O God, shorten the reach of the enemy, weaken their strength. Lord Jesus, You are our blessed assurance and our only hope. May justice and mercy rise from heaven, and may Your name be praised forevermore. In the powerful and majestic name of Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
