Praise God and let His glory fill the earth!

Habakkuk 3:3 is a “Theophany”—a visible manifestation of God. Habakkuk stops looking at the problems on the ground and starts looking at the Horizon of God’s History. By mentioning Teman and Paran, he is reminding himself that God has a track record of showing up in power. This prayer is a Claim of Victory. You are not just asking God to show up; you are commanding the “ancient doors” of your life to open for the King of Glory. You are trading the “shadow of death” for the “blazing fire” of His presence. It is a transition from worrying about the future to celebrating the Redeemer who already owns it.

Let’s Pray

O Lord God, the Holy One from Teman and Mount Paran, Your majesty is beyond human grasp. I stand in awe of Your wisdom and the divine justice in Your right hand. Just as You shone forth in ancient days, shine upon us now. Let Your glory cover the heavens of my life, and let the earth—beginning with my own heart—be full of Your praise. Reveal Your splendor like a blazing fire, providing divine guidance in times of trial and war. Strengthen my faith, O Lord. Keep my eyes fixed solely on You, steadfast and obedient to Your Word, knowing that You are always with me. Let the sound of abundant praise resonate from the north to the south and the east to the west. Ignite my heart with worship until every breath I take exalts Your holy name. I shout joyfully to honor Your salvation, joining the heavenly hosts that declare Your power across every language and nation. Lift up your heads, O gates! Be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of Glory may enter. You are the Lord Almighty, the King of Glory! I will celebrate the victory of Your deliverance and proclaim Your wonders to a thousand generations. My Redeemer lives, and I will sing Your praises forevermore. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Amen.

“God came from Teman, The Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah His glory covered the heavens, And the earth was full of His praise.”
