Did you know that entertainment was nothing other than the world’s substitute for true joy? It is merely a distraction to take your mind off the fact that you are not happy with your current life and something is lacking. Shut off entertainment today and ponder on your life. What is missing? Could it be God? Talk with Him in prayer today.

O God of all ages, the God of David, Daniel, and Elijah, I believe in Your word that says, “l shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent I shall trample underfoot.” Father God, speak forth Your word, and curse the serpent that is sticking around my life and my home, trying to deceive and to kill. Strike him with the sword of Your word and defeat him forever. Father, before the world, let Your word bear me witness today and glorify You forevermore. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!
