The roof of a nightclub collapsed on Tuesday in Santo Domingo, in the capital of the Caribbean country, killing at least 124 people. With still more people stuck under the rubble of the collapse, rescuers are in a battle against the clock. More than 150 people also have been injured in this tragedy, with the exact number of people at the time of the collapse unknown and estimates put it anywhere between 500-1000 people.
Let’s Pray:
Father, we pray asking for the comfort and the peace of God to fill the hearts of those affected in this accident. We are seeking the complete healing and recovery of those injured in the hospitals. And for the safe rescue of every last person still trapped under the rubble. We pray for the light of Your Glory to dawn in the nation of Dominican Republic and for every last Dominican to hear and receive the good news of Christ. In Jesus’ name we pray and plead, Amen.
You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble;
Psalm 32:7
You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.
