15 die in New Year terrorist attack in New Orleans

A 42-year old citizen and U.S. army veteran, Shamsud-Din Jabbar, drove his pickup truck into the crowd killing 15 and injuring dozens. The man was shot dead by police at the scene. The FBI further reported an Islamic state (IS) flag found inside the pickup and believe he did not act alone. There was also simultaneously an explosion of a Tesla cyber truck just outside Trump towers in Las Vegas and authorities are now investigating if the two incidents are linked to each other.

Let’s Pray:

Father Lord, we pray for comfort and divine consolation in the hearts of the grieving ones. We pray for healing and full-recovery of those injured in this attack and at the hospital. We plead through Your tender mercies, peace and still around the world in this year. We pray and ask for the light of Your truth to shine brighter and more gloriously in the U.S. this year in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.

John 14:27
