179 out of 181 passengers and crew members died as flight 7C2216 crashed into a barrier soon after landing in Muan, South Korea. The Boeing 737-800 operated by budget airline carrier, Jeju Air, was returning from Bangkok when the pilot called in ‘mayday’ and the landing was expedited by the air-traffic controller. A bird strike is said to have been the cause of the accident, though officially it has not been yet confirmed as investigations are still ongoing. The two surviving crew members were seated in the tail of the airplane, the only intact part remaining after this fiery crash.
Let’s Pray:
Father Lord, we pray for the loving comfort and surpassing peace of Christ in the hearts of the grieving. We pray also for the quick recovery and healing of the two people who survived this crash. We ask for wisdom for the authorities so that future crashes like this could be prevented. We pray that every South Korean will come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, Amen.
This is my comfort in my affliction, That Your word has revived me.
