2 dead in car attack in Mannheim

Two people – a 83 year old woman and a 54 year old man were rammed down in a pedestrian area in Mannheim in West Germany. 5 more are seriously injured and 5 others suffered minor injuries. This attack comes in the wake of increasing public attacks in Germany, this one being 6th in the last 9 months. The perpetrator, a 40 year old German national, was suspected to be suffering with mental illnesses.

Let’s Pray:

Father Lord, we pray and ask for the restoration of Your perfect peace in the land of Germany. We speak comfort in the families and friends of the deceased and for the full-healing of the injured in the hospital, in Jesus’ mighty name. We pray for the saving knowledge of Christ to enlighten the heart of every German in Jesus name, Amen.

I will hear what God the Lord will say;
For He will speak peace to His people, to His godly ones;
But let them not turn back to folly.
Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him,
That glory may dwell in our land.

Psalm 85:8-9
