Psalm of Tears Turned to Joy

I
O Lord, before You, I worship with tears that stream like rain from my eyes,
Until the cup in Your hand runs over with praise.
For You have turned my sorrow into dancing;
You see my weeping and gently wipe every tear away.

“Take heart, O daughter of Zion, weep no more!” For your joy has come!
In His presence, I grew stronger and stronger.
When I could not redeem myself, You came and redeemed me.
When I could not save myself, You rose and rescued my soul.
When I had no strength, You empowered me with Your Spirit.
The world says I am unworthy, but You call me Your own.

You fill me anew with Your power and divine light;
As the river overflows, Your peace flows through me.
Therefore my lips shall continually sing with joyful songs.
I will sing of Your steadfast faithfulness forever,
O Lord, my Savior, my eternal praise!
Amen.
