Two bomb explosions have left 28 dead in the south-western province of Balochistan in Pakistan. A day before the country goes to vote, the senseless violent act was carried out by the Islamic State (IS), a radical jihadist outfit which is vying for control of this resource-rich province, but otherwise poor region. The people of Pakistan have been complaining about election process corruption after the governing party’s (PTI) leader Imran Khan was convicted on corruption charges last year.
Let’s Pray:
Father Lord, we ask that You protect the people of Pakistan from all acts of violence and threats. We pray for a transparent election process and pray for a just and compassionate leader to be appointed to power. We pray that justice and fairness would be rendered to the people of Pakistan by your divine mercies and grace. In Jesus name, Amen.
