In search of my God, the mighty God
I walk through the desert alone
All night long I make supplications to the Lord of hosts
Hoping I will hear the voice of my Lord answering me,
The invisible God, who has made Himself known through signs and wonders,
And has revealed His love and character through His Son, Jesus.

In the midst of the wilderness,
I feel like my soul has departed from me,
I can only hear the echo of my voice, speaking in tongues.
I became still and silent, weakened because I have been fasting for days,
on the dry land where there is no water, as heaven didn’t pour out rain.
Barefoot have I walked a thousand miles, speaking in tongues,
praying to be heard by Abba, the great God.
I am overwhelmed by the light that shines at day and the darkness at night;
I wish I could follow the breeze to its dwelling place,
There I will surely find the house of the living God.
I have not seen Him, but I believe in Him.
His greatness and wonders extend throughout and above the earth,
He is the Maker of all things that exist.

I have prayed all manners of prayers,
yet I can’t perceive the presence of God.
My flesh is weary and my bones are weak inside of me,
But I have not stopped praying,
Though my prayer is now but a whisper,
accompanied by an unending stream of tears.
Day and night, in cold and hot weather,
I lay down on the dust in sackcloth.
Though it is hard, I will not give up, I will not stop praying
For whom shall I call if not the God of heaven?
Who apart from Him is mighty to rescue and restore me?
