Like a criminal, Jesus was crucified alongside two others
Though holy, He was treated like the worst of sinners,
His garments were divided by lots amongst His executioners.
Despite the fact that He is the chosen One,
He was mocked by the armies of the earth.I have no doubt about this:
The cross is the shape and sign of true love!
To take away my sins,
You allowed Yourself to be nailed and slain on the cross,
To become the living sacrifice through whose blood I could receive forgiveness, righteousness, and holiness.
God, as rivers overflow their banks with water,
So does Your endless love overflow in my heart.
Mold my heart so that, like Your cross, it may become the altar of true love.On the cross of Calvary, You said it is finished!
My transgressions are over. My mourning is over.
All these come to an end when salvation in Christ begins.
Your salvation shall never come to an end.
All of my days, may I behold to see the cross as the symbol of Your unconditional love for me… for humanity.
