Explosion in Somalia’s capital city

A car bomb that went off outside a café in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu, has left at least 9 dead and more than 20 injured. The Islamist terrorist group, al-Shabab claimed responsibility for the incident. The group largely controls many parts of the country and said this attack was aimed at government officials.

Let’s Pray:

Father Lord, we ask and pray for peace in the nation of Somalia and that every evil and darkness from the hearts of men be washed by Your precious blood. We ask for comfort and peace in the lives of those who have lost a loved one in this incident. May all Somalis know Your love for them and Your sacrifice on the cross, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

“Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense.”

Isaiah 12:2
