Flood and landslides in South Korea

21 people were killed, 10 others missing, and 9 injured in a flood and landslides due to heavy rain in South Korea. More than 1000 people have to evacuate their homes and 8300 households experience power outages. In the past weeks, floods and landslides have also killed at least 6 people in Japan and 15 people in southwest China.

Let’s Pray:

God, You are the Creator of heaven and earth, and everything in it. We ask for Your grace upon east Asian countries, especially South Korea, Japan, and China. You see the people who are suffering due to floods and landslides, especially those who lost their loved ones. We pray for Your mercy upon these people, that You will give them the help and comfort they need to go through these situations. We pray that You will show them that You are sovereign over all the earth and the weather, as You are the almighty God who hears our prayers. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

“God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah”

Psalms‬ ‭46‬:‭1‬-‭3
