Foreword

ABIDE is the powerful word revealed by God as our theme for the New Year, ushering us into an exciting new season! What does it truly mean to ABIDE in the Lord? (John 15:4-5). The Scriptures offer us three profound insights that will guide us on this transformative journey of abiding in Christ.

First, think of “abiding” as being strongly connected to Christ. This means building your life on His solid foundation, as mentioned in Colossians 2:6-7. When you connect yourself to Him, you establish deep roots and create a robust support system for everything you do. This helps ensure that your life stays anchored in Jesus.

Next, let’s explore the essence of living in love, faith, and holiness. Loving God and our neighbors involves action—it’s about forgiving others, showing compassion, and being true peacemakers. Faith is our foundation; it represents a profound trust in God and a belief in what He can achieve through us. Holiness goes beyond mere righteousness; it encompasses joyful obedience, heartfelt humility, and a commitment to avoid anything that distances us from Him.

Finally, we deepen our faith through prayer, fasting, meditation on God’s Word, and expressing heartfelt gratitude. In support of your journey, Prayer Spring has crafted a dynamic ten-day reading plan to keep you connected to Christ throughout the year, empowering you to bear abundant fruit in His name and for His glory.

As you engage with this plan, we hope you discover profound insights into what it truly means to abide in the VINE, Jesus Christ. May your heart and joy remain steadfast, and may God illuminate your path as we delve into this together—strengthening our faith, knowledge, and understanding. We pray for a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit so that no matter what season you find yourself in this year, you’re renewed with hope, strength, grace, and mercy.

May His goodness follow you every day of your life, now and forever. Amen.

Are you excited?

Let’s start with Day 1!
