Forgive and you will be forgiven

The message that came to mind this morning while doing my devotion is this: “Always remember, God answered the prayer of sinners as well as believers” We have to turn to God and pray that He would give us a heart that forgives our spouse, friends, colleagues, neighbors, family members and even strangers who might have hurt or wronged us severely in the past, because they too are seeking the same God as we do and at some point they might have repented and asked for God’s grace, mercy and love. Our unforgiveness can’t block the prayers of others from being answered or heard by God.

“For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”

Matthew 6:14-15 NIV
