God will not forget His People

O Lord, our Father who dwells in heaven,

Are there no more blessings left for Your children?

Why do You seem to favor the rich over the poor?

Have You stopped caring for the needy?

Could it be that You show partiality towards the oppressor ?

The rich seem to be blessed abundantly,

While the poor are like prisoners,

abandoned in jail and waiting endlessly

upon Your mercy and tender kindness.

Lord Jesus, Son of David,

I know that You will lavish the needy with Your blessing

and bestow Your power and Spirit upon Your apostles.

You will remember each one of Your children for good.

Have mercy, O Lord our Savior.

Do not cast us away because of our sins,

Do not deprive us of Your joy and peace.

According to Your great riches,

give bountiful gifts to the poor, O Lord,

and with Your generous hands,

bless Your people evermore.
