An unprecedented aerial attack by Iran on Israel last Sunday left both nations on the edge of war. Iran has never been silent about their anti-Israel stance, publicly supporting proxy terrorist groups like Hamas, Hezbollah and Houthis in their bid to wipe Israel. At around 02:00 AM local time, the Iranians launched a barrage of missiles and drones on the Israeli capital, Jerusalem. The Iron-dome system protecting Israel from such strikes, along with the aid of American, British, Saudi and Jordanian air forces were able to repel 99% of the 300 or so missiles launched. Fear of retaliation by Israel, which could quickly spill out in a full-scale war, looms now.
Let’s Pray:
Father, we pray for peace to prevail in Iran, in Israel, and the nations surrounding them. We pray for the exercise of wisdom and tolerance by the diplomats of all nations in these times. God of Jacob, the shield to Israel, protect her from all those who rise against her. In Jesus’ name, amen.
“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! “May they be secure who love you!””
~Psalm 122:6
