Knowing Who You Are

Let’s Pray

O Lord, God of Heaven, I acknowledge You as the Creator of the sea and the dry land, the stars, and every living thing. You are the unchanging God who never fails. I stand in awe of Your power and wisdom, knowing that because You do not change, I am not destroyed (Malachi 3:6). Even in the midst of trouble, I will not lose sight of who I am in You. I declare today that my identity is rooted in the salvation of Your name (Romans 10:9). My struggles do not define me, but by Your Word. I am a child of God, a citizen of heaven, and a member of a royal priesthood. Before I was formed in the womb, You knew me, set me apart, and appointed me for a purpose (Jeremiah 1:5). Once I was in darkness, but now I belong to Your marvelous light  (1 Peter 2:9). Lord, reveal the cause of my challenges and guide me through them. I ask for Your blessing upon my occupation and let the work of my hands be sufficient for me. Empower me to bear abundant fruit and to do the “good works” You created me for. Remove every mark of limitation, shame, or reproach and replace it with Your favor, which surrounds me like a shield. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). I am Your workmanship, created for greatness and called to declare Your praises  (Ephesians 2:10). May everything I do today bring honor to Your name, the name above every other name, Jesus Christ. Let my life reflect the Gospel You came to preach and the salvation for which You gave Your life. May I and other beloved of Christ walk in the fear of the Lord all our days and bring glory to You forever. In the holy and mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Amen.

“Then they said to him, “Please tell us! For whose cause is this trouble upon us? What is your occupation? And where do you come from? What is your country? And of what people are you?” So he said to them, “I am a Hebrew; and I fear the Lord, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land.”” ‭‭

‭‭ ‭‭Jonah‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬-‭9 ‭NKJV‬‬
