Lifesaving UN Convoy Reaches Cut-Off Communities in War-Torn Sudan

A joint United Nations convoy has finally reached war-affected communities in Sudan’s South Kordofan State after being cut off from aid for more than two years. Fifteen WFP trucks and additional UNICEF and UNDP vehicles delivered over 700 metric tons of food and essential medical, nutrition, health, water, sanitation, and education supplies to nearly 70,000 people in and around the cities of Dilling and Kadugli. The mission faced weeks of delays and security threats due to intensified hostilities, highlighting the urgent need for safe, predictable humanitarian access across Sudan.

Let’s Pray:

Lord Jesus, we lift up the people of South Kordofan, Dilling, Kadugli, and all of Sudan who have endured years of conflict, hunger, and isolation. We thank You for opening a way for this convoy to reach those who have been cut off, and we ask that these supplies would be multiplied, protected, and quickly placed into the hands of every family in need. Soften the hearts of armed groups and authorities, that they would allow sustained, unhindered humanitarian access and respect the dignity of every person created in Your image. Remember the mothers and children facing malnutrition, the sick who have waited for medicine, and those traumatized by war—comfort them, heal them, and reveal Yourself as their Refuge and Provider. Raise up peacemakers within Sudan and among the nations, and let this breakthrough be a sign of greater mercy, justice, and lasting peace to come. In Your mighty name, Jesus, Amen.

“He shall deliver the needy when he cries, the poor also, and him who has no helper.”

Psalm 72:12 NKJV
