The Raging Sea

Let’s Pray

O Father, God of Heaven, I acknowledge Your sovereignty even in the midst of the storm. You are the one who rules the wind and the sea. Though a mighty tempest rages around me and my life feels like a ship about to be broken up, I trust in Your divine mercy. You will not let me go through what I can’t bear and turn away from my plight or abandon me to the waves. Witness my desperation, Lord, and reach down to pull me from the deep. Will You remain silent while I perish? This fragile life is all I have to offer You in praise. You promise to build up the wasteland, not destroy it. Remember Your holy promise: “If God is for us, who can stand against us?” No storm can withstand Your mighty power, and no darkness can overshadow Your light. Come quickly, Lord; save and redeem me from this suffering. I stand firm on Your Word that when I pass through the waters, You are with me, and they will not overflow me. Mighty God, I cry out for You to still the tempest. Calm the storm with Your Word and repair this broken vessel of Yours. Only You can mend the wounded heart and restore what the winds have torn apart. Thank You for forgiving me, LORD. I had no idea how much my disobedience would cost You. Let me live, I pray Thee, to praise Your name again and declare Your wondrous deeds to this generation, that all may know You are the great, merciful, and compassionate God. In the holy name of our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Amen.

“But the Lord sent out a great wind on the sea, and there was a mighty tempest on the sea, so that the ship was about to be broken up.”

‭‭ Jonah‬ ‭1‬:‭4 ‭NKJV‬‬
