Arise

A Prayer for Divine Manifestation and the Fullness of the Holy Ghost.

Come, O Holy Spirit, as a consuming fire;
Let Your holiness devour all that is dross within me.
Visit us as the former and the latter rain,
That the dry places may bloom and our souls find refreshing.

Anoint us with fresh oil, poured out from the golden bowl;
Let it flow from the head to the hem of our robes.
Rush through our spirits as a mighty wind from heaven,
And fill us to the brim with the new wine of Your Kingdom.

Shine upon me as refined gold,
making my life a reflection of the great God.
Let Your Presence become a New Message to the nations,
That the simple may know Your will and the seeker may find
The mystery of the Kingdom is revealed in power and grace.

Breathe upon us, O Breath of God, a new and holy life;
Clothe us in a mantle of grace, woven by Your hand.
Fall as manna in our wilderness to nourish our hungry hearts,
And rest upon our souls as the gentle, silver-winged Dove.

I seek no silver; I desire no earthly crown.
Nothing else—I just want You, O Holy Spirit.
Nothing else—I long only to be filled with the fullness of You.

Manifest Yourself, O Lord! Let Your righteousness settle upon us like the dew.
Arise, O Holy One, from Your secret place!
Find Your habitation among the sons of men,
That You may reign over us in majesty, in power, and in truth.

Sing unto the Lord, all the inhabitants of the earth;
Exalt His holy name from the rising of the sun to its setting.
For His glory is great forevermore, and His Spirit is life.
Amen and Amen.
