Mayotte, a small archipelago of Islands in the Indian ocean, a French territory, was hit by the worst cyclone in the past 90 years of its history, with several hundreds feared dead. This French Island territory north of Madagascar with its 300,000 inhabitants mostly living in thatched houses, faced the brunt of 140 km/h winds from cyclone Chido, which is reported to have uprooted many trees and caused extensive damage. The inhabitants of this country are now facing a severe clean-drinking water crisis now after the storms.
Let’s Pray:
Father, we ask that You remember the people of Mayotte in this difficult time in Your mercies and grace. We ask for quick aid and rescue to reach those in need at this time. We pray for further protection and for salvation to be found in every household in this small island territory. In Jesus name, Amen.
Remember, O Lord, Your compassion and Your lovingkindnesses,
Psalm 25:6
For they have been from of old.
