Over 600,000 people in the Kyiv region, including more than 500,000 in the capital, lost power Saturday morning after a massive Russian overnight attack targeted energy infrastructure using missiles and drones. Officials reported around 36 missiles and nearly 600 drones were launched across Ukraine, killing three and injuring dozens. Kyiv’s Mayor Vitaly Klitschko stated 29 were injured in the capital, including a 13-year-old. This escalation comes as US-led diplomatic efforts for a peace deal continue, coinciding with Ukraine also striking Russian energy infrastructure and two oil tankers in the Black Sea.
Let’s Pray:
Holy and Righteous Father, great and mighty God, we humbly approach Your throne of grace, asking for mercy and not judgment. We acknowledge that Your Word speaks of times for war and times for peace, but we cry out, Abba Father. Please, Lord, rise and speak from heaven above, and command an immediate end to the devastating war between Russia and Ukraine. We grieve the thousands of lives lost and the millions scattered as exiles—sheep without a shepherd. O Lord, You are the Prince of Peace, and Your peace surpasses all understanding. We pray You guard the hearts and minds of the presidents, governments, and ministers of both nations with Your perfect peace. Cause the longstanding conflicts to be resolved immediately. Enlighten their eyes with Your understanding, strengthen the people, and comfort them with Your unfailing love. Now, O GOD, let there be light where there is darkness, as we declare peace over Russia and Ukraine, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ! We stand on the authority of the Prince of Peace, calling for an end to conflict and the dawning of reconciliation and unity in both nations! LORD, raise up wise men and women who will speak Your timely revelation, giving new direction toward a lasting peace agreement. Grant the salvation of Your peace, restore their faith, and let these nations reign in peace forevermore. May Russia praise You, and Ukraine exalt the Most High God now and always. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, we seek and pray. Amen.
“A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace.”
