Supernatural Stability

You have completed the journey of Habakkuk! The book began in Chapter 1 with a cry of “How long, Lord?” in a valley of confusion. It ends here in Chapter 3 with a song of “The Lord is my strength” on the mountain heights. The circumstances haven’t changed yet, but the Prophet has. He found that God doesn’t always take the mountain away—sometimes He gives you the feet to climb it. This prayer is the Amen of the Overcomer. You have moved from questioning God’s silence to celebrating His presence and praising Him for His strength. You are no longer “stuck” in the valley of Habakkuk’s questions; you are “leaping” on the heights of his praise.

Let’s Pray

Everlasting Father, the eternal Rock of Ages, the mighty God, Jehovah Shalom. My Strong Tower, You are the source of my life and my shield. I run to You, and I am saved. I thank You today that You are my strength; it is by Your word alone that my faith is renewed and my heart is made courageous. You are my Solid Foundation, and because You are with me, I fear no evil. Lord, I thank You for the victory You have won. You have given my feet the agility of a deer, and make me soar on high like the eagle, making me sure-footed and steady. Even if the path is steep or the ground is narrow, You ensure that I will not fall. You take me above the shadows and the valleys, making me walk on my “high hills”—the places of spiritual authority, peace, and glory. I cast off every fear of the heights before me. I believe that no mountain is too high to climb because I am carried on Your wings. Just as Habakkuk’s ending was filled with hope, I anchor my faith in Your promise: that Your plans for me are for a brighter future and a hope, to prosper me and not to harm me. You make a way where there seems to be no way, leading me along the path of righteousness for Your name’s sake. Abba Father, I am forever grateful for Your boundless grace. You have brought me further than I could have imagined, and I stand established and prospered in Your power. O let the One who sits on the throne be glorified today and forevermore. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

“The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills.”

‭‭— Habakkuk‬ ‭3‬:‭19 ‭NKJV
