Sweden, which is rapidly becoming Europe’s gun capital, ranking only second in gun-related deaths behind Albania, saw 3 young men killed on Tuesday. The victims who were aged between 15 and 20 and were shot dead by another minor teenager in a barbershop in Uppsala, western Sweden. In what is being reported to be another gang-related crime. Gangs in Sweden often recruit minors as young as 10 or 11, with the promise of lucrative money through the dealing of drugs, often in the growing immigrant and refugee communities in the suburbs of the cities. The Swedish government has now for some time been pushing for stricter laws and punishment surrounding gun violence in the nation.

Father Lord, we pray and ask for the comfort and consolation in the hearts and homes of the families, which has lost their sons in this incident. We pray for peace and calm to prevail in Sweden, especially in these gang-dominated suburbs of the cities. Let Your love and healing flow through this nation once again.
