The Dew of Heaven: A Prayer for Peace, Wisdom, and Sovereign Favor

“Like morning dew, let heaven’s peace rain down…” We often think of peace as the absence of trouble, but the prayer we just offered reveals that true peace is the Presence of a Person. It is a “Shield” and a “Tranquility” that exists even when the nations are in an uproar.

Let’s Pray

The Exaltation: Omniscient God, Gracious and Faithful Father, Mighty in deeds and Wondrous in power—we lift Your name high! From the mouths of babies and the decrees of kings, may You be exalted and glorified forever. We come before You, bowing and seeking Your face with all our hearts, trusting in Your faithfulness to answer.

The Intercession for Nations: Lord, grant the peace that surpasses all understanding to the nations and Your people. Guard us and guide us in Your wisdom. We pray for the leadership of the world: inspire them to pursue true peace and become peacemakers in their generation. Let Your harmony unite the world under Your sovereign hand.

The Benediction over the Home: Like morning dew, let Heaven’s peace rain down upon every household and every family. Shield our hearts and minds with Your tranquility. Surround us with Your divine quietness in the midst of a noisy world.

The Decree of Favor: Bless our homes, our businesses, our ministries, and all our endeavors with Your favor. Let our work flourish under Your watch, now and forever. To You, Lord our God, belongs all honor, praise, glory, and power—ruling with love and mercy forever and ever. AMEN!

“The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”
