The Lord is King

A psalm of the Most High King and His Kingdom

I
Jesus, Lamb of God, in whose blood our sins are washed away,
Rain Your salvation upon this land and deliver us.
Let the Holy Spirit come like a mighty river,
Flooding our cities with the torrent of Your grace.

II
Father, grant me the courage of a lion, for You are the Lion of Judah;
Yet give me the heart of a deer that longs forever for Your presence.
Make my feet sure upon the high places, that I may never slip,
And let Your Spirit rest upon me like a dove, gentle and peaceful.

III
Renew our strength like the eagle, O Lord, with wings that cannot be broken,
To fly high above every border and limitation of this world.
Breathe upon us a fresh breath; create in us clean and pure hearts,
And fortify Your Church to stand firm in unity against the evil day.

IV
Let the sound of worship blast out from the heavens,
Until the praises of our God fill the face of the earth.
The Lord is King; let the gates be opened wide before Him,
And let His Majesty reign over our nation forever and ever.
Hail, the Most High King, the King of glory.
May His glory shine upon us forever.
Amen.

“Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle.” (Psalm 24:7-8)

This prayer is a beautiful tapestry of spiritual warfare and deep surrender. We serve a King who is both the victorious Lion of Judah and the gentle Lamb who takes away the sin of the world. He calls us to match that same dual nature—to be bold as lions against the enemy, yet gentle as doves in His presence.

When you feel limited by the borders of life or the exhaustion of the season, ask Him for the wings of an eagle. He is ready to lift you higher, refresh your mind, and establish His Kingdom right where you are. Stand firm in unity today, for the King is on His throne!
