Where is Your help, O Lord?

O Lord, God of grace, You are great. From Your throne above, see the suffering of Your people. Different illnesses threaten the lives of many to death. Poverty continues to increase here on earth. Millions live with no food to eat, thousands have no place to lay their head to sleep. The situation is getting severe and alarming day by day.

Where is Your help, O Lord? Have You forgotten us like the dead? How long will You continue to hide Your face from us? Until our men are slain and our daughters are slaughtered like rams? Will you let them perish and die as if there is no God who can fight for us or solve our problems?

Redeem us and our children from the hands of our oppressors. For decades, we have been like ashes, covered in misery and shame. Now we are tormented and broken from the inside out. Our eyes are full of tears like the Jordan River.

Mighty God, You are lovely and merciful. According to Your great mercy, give attention to us and answer our prayer speedily as we call. Please, Lord, come to our rescue. Hear the cry of our humble hearts. Deliver Your people from poverty. Come, O Lord, and save our land from famine so that we all won’t starve to death. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen

“Hear me, O Lord, for Your lovingkindness is good; Turn to me according to the multitude of Your tender mercies. And do not hide Your face from Your servant, For I am in trouble; Hear me speedily. Draw near to my soul, and redeem it; Deliver me because of my enemies. You know my reproach, my shame, and my dishonor; My adversaries are all before You. Reproach has broken my heart, And I am full of heaviness; I looked for someone to take pity, but there was none; And for comforters, but I found none.”

-‭‭Psalms‬ ‭69‬:‭16‬-‭20
