11 dead in mass shooting in Sweden

A lone gunman shot dead 10 students in Orebro, central Sweden, on Tuesday afternoon before finally killing himself. The shooting was at Campus Risbergska – a type of school for adults known as Komvux in Swedish, which is primarily for people who did not finish primary or secondary education. Police still have no clear established motive behind the crime and are largely attributing it to the mental health of the gunman.

Let’s Pray:

Father, we pray for Your peace and consolation for the ones grieved by this incident. We pray and ask that Your love would fill their hearts and give them the answers and rest they need in this difficult time. We pray for the healing of all those injured and admitted in the hospitals. We ask for Your protection over the entire nation of Sweden and pray that Your light shine and renew the minds of every Swede, by Your Holy Spirit. We ask in Your mighty name, Jesus. Amen.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

Psalm 23:4
