3 die in historic floods in Australia

3 people have died so far and 1 other person in missing in Australia after heavy rains led to flooding. This has caused the government to declare a natural disaster event, with over 50,000 people evacuated from their homes. In the south-eastern state of New South Wales (NSW). More rain has been predicted by the Meteorological department with about 300mm of rainfall still expected to fall in this region. With more than 10,000 homes have been declared to be at risk in the region and more than 2000 emergency personnel have been dispatched to help with ongoing rescue and rehabilitation efforts.

Let’s Pray:

Father, we pray and ask for the comfort in the hearts and souls of those dear to the departed. We ask that You would shower Your grace upon those affected by these floods, especially the elderly and those who are physically weak. We ask in faith that the rains would stop over this region and You would extend Your arm of mercy to the affected. We ask that Australia return to the Father’s love, like the prodigal son. In Jesus mighty and matchless name, we pray. Amen.

Therefore let all the faithful pray to you
    while you may be found;
surely the rising of the mighty waters
    will not reach them.
You are my hiding place;
    you will protect me from trouble
    and surround me with songs of deliverance.

Psalm 32:6-7
