Grace

Psalm of Abundant Grace

I
Thank You, Lord Jesus, for Your unmerited favor;
For all that I am, and all that I have, is by Your grace.
Wherever my feet may tread, Your mercy guides my steps,
And in every work of my hands, Your goodness sustains me.

II
When I lie down to sleep, You guard my rest,
And when I awaken to the dawn, Your presence greets my soul.
You satisfy my hunger, You quench my thirst,
And You gird me in Your unfailing grace.

III
Where I stand today, and the labor of my hands are held in Your care;
All that my eyes behold, my ears hear, and my lips speak comes from You.
My body, my breath, and the depths of my heart are kept by Your love.
Thank You, Jesus, my Lord—all I am and ever will be is by Your grace.
Amen.

The Heart of the Prayer: “Grace is not merely a helper for our journey; it is the very atmosphere in which we live, move, and have our being.”

This psalm is a humble, rhythmic litany of total dependence and joyful thanksgiving. It dismantles all human pride and self-reliance, attributing every breath, every sense, every step, and every daily provision solely to the overflowing favor of Jesus Christ.

It embodies three crucial movements of a grace-filled life:

  • Radical Acknowledgment of Divine Origin: Recognizing that everything we possess—from our identity and talents to our position and provision—is an unearned gift from the Lord’s generous hand.
  • Sanctification of Everyday Life: Transforming the simplest moments—sleeping, waking, eating, working, and resting—into acts of sacred worship and dynamic awareness of God’s abiding presence.
  • Surrender of the Senses: Yielding all that we see, hear, speak, and feel to the holy influence of the Spirit, ensuring that our entire physical and emotional being reflects His mercy.

May this prayer fill your day with profound peace and gratitude, continually reminding you that wherever you go and whatever you face, you are held, sustained, and surrounded by the infinite grace of God.
