59 people, mostly in the age group of 18-21 died in Kocani, North Macedonia, when the makeshift nightclub went up in flames. At around 0230 local time, as the famous hip-hop duo DNK was playing to a crowd of about 500 people in a carpet warehouse turned nightclub. With corruption and evident flouting of safety laws, the people were left with only one emergency exit, when a spark from the pyrotechnics hit the ceiling and started the deadly fire. With more than 155 injured and admitted to the hospitals, some with serious burns, the government has arrested 15 people and is further investigating the circumstances surrounding the concert venue.

We pray and seek Your healing touch upon those injured, that their lives would be saved in Your great mercies. Lord, we ask that You would mightily move in the power of Your Spirit and stir a revival in North Macedonia, turning the hearts of many to Your saving grace and love. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
