7.5-magnitude earthquake hits Taiwan

The strongest earthquake in the island nation of Taiwan in 25 years has left 9 dead, and injured more than 800 people. The 7.5-magnitude earthquake whose epicenter was located near Hualien on the eastern coast of the island, has caused many landslides in mountainous areas and the collapse of several buildings. A few people are still unfortunately trapped in tunnels and under debris resulting from the earthquake, waiting for help to arrive.

Let’s Pray:

Father, we ask that you protect the nation of Taiwan from all future natural disasters. We pray for mercy and grace for the quick rescue of those who are still trapped. We ask for comfort to all those who have been affected by this disaster, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

“God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah”

~Psalm 46:1-3
