Assurance of victory, 10 day prayer plan

Day 1: Receive the victory that is yours in Jesus

We are happy that you chose to embark on this wonderful journey with us. We believe that the Holy Spirit led your steps to this plan, so you would be rooted in the assurance of victory that we have in Christ. It can be hard to consider yourself victorious when thinking about the challenges you face, the difficulties you have, the past experiences you have been through, and the uncertain future you worry about, but today, we invite you to change your perspective. As long as victory depends on you, you will have a hard time believing in it, and you what? You’re right. There is no human being in this world who is able to overcome all the hurdles of life, no matter his financial or social status. The assurance of victory comes from the fact that our victory is independent of us, and solely relying on Jesus Christ. The victory is His, and He shares it with us! All we have to do is to believe in Him and receive it.

For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.”

-1 John 5:4-5

We just celebrated Easter, in remembrance of Jesus’ victory over sin and death. His sacrifice on the cross, burial, and resurrection gave us an immutable assurance, that because He overcame, we too, have overcome the world in Him. Nothing in this world could ever defeat us; we know the outcome of every battle before it even starts! So, what do you think, Victors? Are you ready to walk out of the tomb that has been restraining you till date? Are you ready to joyfully and confidently receive God’s victory in Christ Jesus?

Let’s pray:
Lord Jesus, thank you for paying the price for my sins. Thank You for adopting me to Your family, for the privilege to be Your child. Thank You that You have paid it all, and You have overcome the world. Thank You for graciously sharing Your victory with me, though I do not deserve any of it. Because of what You did, I can also walk out of the tomb like You, and freely receive the victory You have won for me. Today I just want to praise Your name that is above every other name, Jesus. Amen.
