“No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.”
John 15: 15-16
God’s providence (protective care) over our lives is demonstrated through Him choosing us, calling us, and leading us, as the Bible says in the passage above. God has chosen you even before the world was created (Eph 1:4). God has planned and prepared for every circumstance that you have faced or will ever face in your life. He is in control of every detail. Look at the story of Joseph in Genesis: the betrayal of his brothers, the pit, the false accusation of Potiphar’s wife, the prison sentence, being forgotten by the cupbearer, and the Lord lifting him in the end. It might seem like God was not with him or had forgotten him, but it was not the case at all; God was the architect of Joseph’s life, and the glorious end of his story testifies to this. The God of Joseph is your God today! Trust that He cares for you deeply, more than anyone else can. Your future is in His safe hands. Just trust Him with everything for He cares for you.
Let’s pray:
Father, I thank You for I am chosen by you. I am not an afterthought; I was created by Your hand with great love and purpose. I thank You that whatever situation I’m facing now, You are in control and it is for a purpose that You have allowed it to happen in my life. I thank You for caring about my deepest desires. Help me to look to You as I go through this pilgrimage on earth, with the assurance that You have made a way for me. In Jesus name, amen.
