Earthquake in Morocco

More than 2100 were killed in the earthquake near Marrakech, Morocco last Friday. Search and rescue attempts are still ongoing, with expected death toll to rise, as rescuers find problems accessing isolated mountain areas.

Let’s Pray:

Father, we ask for Your mercy for people in Morocco who are losing their loved ones and homes because of this earthquake. We pray for consolation by the Holy Spirit. We also pray for the rescue teams: that You will empower them to do their jobs well. Give them strength so that they will not grow weary or give up. We pray that You will incline the hearts and direct the eyes of everyone in Morocco towards You, so that they will know and accept You as their Savior and be saved. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

The mountains quake before Him, The hills melt,
And the earth heaves at His presence,
Yes, the world and all who dwell in it.

The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble;
And He knows those who trust in Him.

Nahum 1:5,7
