God is about to restore what the Enemy has Plundered!

Habakkuk 2:8 describes the “Law of the Harvest” in a painful way: those who plunder will be plundered. It is a warning that violence eventually consumes itself. Our prayer turns this warning into an Act of Intercession. You are standing in the gap for your city and your family, asking God to break the cycle of violence through the power that is in the BLOOD OF JESUS. By calling on the “Lion of Judah,” you are acknowledging that while the enemy is a “prowling lion,” our God is a Mighty God who has already won the battle. You are moving from the “stain” of the land to the “sanctification” of the Spirit.

Let’s Pray

Almighty God, the Lion of Judah (Revelation 5:5), You are undefeated in battle. We call upon You, Yahweh, to come like a mighty roaring lion and a rushing wind to reclaim and restore all that the enemy has stolen from our land, our cities, and our homes. Halt the bloodshed and silence the violence. Just as Abel’s blood cried out to You (Genesis 4:10), we bring the cries of the innocent to Your throne, asking for Your divine justice and mercy. Rescue us from the hands of destroyers and stop the works of evil. We ask for Your grace, as You are full of compassion and everlasting love. For the sake of the remnant and Your great name, peace, health, joy, our dreams, and our possessions are Yours to redeem and rebuild what has been damaged (Isaiah 61:4). Wash us in Your precious blood and cleanse every stain of sin from our hearts and heal our land (2 Chronicles 7:14). Open our eyes to see through Your light (Psalm 36:9) and loosen every chain that binds us (Matthew 18:18). Grant us the grace to dwell in safety as we abide in You. Shield our sons and daughters from the enemy’s assault, and let no sword of the adversary prevail against us. Close every door that leads to destruction and lead us in the everlasting way (Matthew 7:13-14). Satisfy our needs, purify our thoughts, and sanctify our feet as we walk the path of righteousness. We hold our peace (Exodus 14:14), as the Lord will fight our battles for us, for He is God of Vengeance (Deuteronomy 32:35), and He will avenge us against the strong man who comes only to take our goods and hold us captive. We seek Your face and wait for Your saving strength, O God. Prosper, Your people, and bless this land once more. In the powerful name of Jesus, our Lord, we pray. Amen.

“Because you have plundered many nations, All the remnant of the people shall plunder you, Because of men’s blood And the violence of the land and the city, And of all who dwell in it.”

‭‭ Habakkuk‬ ‭2‬:‭8 ‭NKJV
