By focusing on The Father, you have completed the circle of John 14:6. You have walked the Way, stood on the Truth, breathed the Life, and finally arrived at the Destination. The goal of the Christian walk isn’t just to be “better”; it is to be home. This prayer settles you into your identity as a beloved child, reminding you that your access to God is guaranteed by Jesus, not by your own performance. “Abba” is an intimate term, like “Papa” or “Dad.” Throughout your day, try addressing God as Abba. It shifts the relationship from a distant Deity to a present, caring Father.
Let’s Pray
Abba Father, I believe that the only way to come to the throne of grace and to enter Your holy presence is through Your precious Son, Jesus Christ. He is the perfect mirror of Your heart, embodying Your image so that we may truly know You. Thank You for being a good Father who gives perfect gifts to those who ask. Because I am united with Jesus, I am united with You. I come before You with a humble heart, seeking Your face. Reach out to me with Your unfailing love, just as a father reaches out to his child. Thank You for loving me before I was even formed in my mother’s womb and for calling me by name for a divine destiny. I long to feel Your warm embrace and to walk in the compassion and care that only You can provide. I pursue Jesus as my Way, my Truth, and my Life. In His name—the name above every other—I bring my requests to You, trusting that You hear my heart. Let the joy of the Lord be my strength, and the peace of heaven be my rest. Christ in me is my hope of glory; in Him, I am complete and lack no good thing. Help me to be an obedient child, growing in fellowship with You every day. May my worship rise like a sweet aroma to Your throne as I exalt Your wonderful name. I am forever grateful that You loved me first. In the mighty and beloved name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
