Psalm of the Mantle and Holy Fire

I
You have turned my mourning into joy, O Lord;
You took away my sackcloth and clothed me in Your light.
Like Elijah, You cast down Your heavenly mantle upon my soul;
Just as the morning dew and the softest snow, let Your presence fall upon me.
You will be baptized with all the power and fullness of the Holy Spirit.

II
Break this heart of stone, O God, and grant me a heart of flesh;
Uproot every proud thought that exalts itself against Your truth.
Let Your Holy Spirit rest upon me like a gentle dove,
And flow through my spirit like an everlasting spring of living water.
From the hill of Zion, may God’s peace be with you.

III
Purify my heart with Your holy fire, O Lord, ”like silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times”;
Let Your word burn within my bones and Your hand rests upon my life.
Arise, O God, and scatter every ungodly thing before Your face!
Breathe upon me, fill me completely, and lead me in Your power forever.
May God anoint you with oil from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet.
Amen.

The Heart of the Prayer: “When God removes the sackcloth of our sorrow, He does not leave us bare—He clothes us in the Holy Fire of His Spirit.”

This psalm is a passionate petition for spiritual mantle, heart transformation, and Holy Ghost empowerment. It moves from personal transformation into prophetic authority, asking God to strip away earthly grief and carnal pride so that His heavenly glory can rest fully upon the believer.

It embodies three crucial movements of spiritual awakening:

  • Exchange of Raiment and Heavenly Dew: Exchanging human weakness and sorrow (sackcloth) for divine mantle and the gentle, refreshing presence of the Spirit—falling softly like morning dew and landing like a dove upon the soul.
  • Crucifixion of Pride and Heart Renewal: Asking God to shatter stubborn self-will and root out every high thing that exalts itself against His knowledge. It seeks a tender, meek heart of flesh that can hold the river of His living water.
  • The Fire and Anointing of Elijah: Invoking the burning word of God to ignite the marrow of our bones, driving out darkness, scattering ungodly opposition, and walking in the power, faith, and apostolic authority of Jesus Christ.

May this prayer ignite a holy boldness within your heart today, reminding you that the same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead now dwells within you, breathing life, fire, and victory over your journey.
