Psalm of the Heavenly Portion

I
The Lord is my inheritance and my portion, in whom my soul delights;
Under Your mighty wings, O God, I humble myself in prayer and fasting.
Suppose I offered the whole earth, it could not measure my gratitude, You have done so many great things,
Your blessings, O Lord, are numerous, like the sand on the seashore.

II
Jesus Christ is my light and my salvation,
Countless times You have led me safely through the fire and raging storm;
My heart yearns to worship You, as the deer pants for water;
And as a little child, I long to dwell forever in Your holy sanctuary.

III
In the morning, I will seek the face of my God alone, for He is my portion.
The Lord says to His holy prophet, “And it shall come to pass that from one New Moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another,
All flesh shall come to worship before Me,”
We worship a great God, a God who is mighty in deeds.
His favor endures forever, O Lord Most High, hallowed His name.

IV
Christ, my Savior and heavenly Lord,
Invisible and eternal God, Your throne is from everlasting to everlasting.
Great is Your majesty, and holy is the glorious crown.
To You, O KING, I lift up my worship. Make Your kingdom known to a thousand generations, forever and ever.
Amen.

The Heart of the Prayer: “When God becomes our sole inheritance, our gratitude overflows the boundaries of the earth and echoes into eternity.”

This psalm is a majestic offering of deep humility, unyielding gratitude, and high praise. It shifts our gaze from the temporal world to the eternal God, acknowledging Him as our ultimate reward and faithful deliverer through life’s fiercest trials.

It embodies three crucial movements of a worshiping heart:

  • Total Devotion and Endless Gratitude: Declaring the Lord as our supreme portion and humbling the soul through prayer and fasting, recognizing that no earthly offering could ever equal the boundless scope of His blessings.
  • Deliverance and Perpetual Worship: Remembering God’s past faithfulness through the raging storms and aligning with the prophetic rhythm of creation—where every Sabbath and every season becomes an invitation to bow before His throne. — Isaiah 66:23
  • Adoration of the Eternal King: Surrendering to the majesty of the invisible, everlasting God, exalting His holy name above all else, and resting in His enduring favor.

May this prayer fill your soul with quiet awe today, reminding you that through every fire and storm, the Almighty remains your secure portion, your refuge, and your eternal reward.
