If Not, For God

If not for God, my journey in life won’t have been worth it.

Like a dead fig tree, I was before He came and breathed life

into my nostril. As I would not have produced good fruits,

nothing that is valuable shall have become of me.

The one who was formerly a laughing stock, who everyone mocked

and that was declared as a wretched fellow that has no profit or

gains in life.

Now, gold and silver are mine, peace and joy are mine, and success

and victory belongs to me. I am surrounded by angels,

hope and glory are mine, as well as riches and honor are mine in abundance.

His love has been the center of my heart, His name is Jesus Christ

of Nazareth and His name is ever praised on my tongue. From being a fool,

the Lord gave me wisdom, and knowledge, and added understanding

unto me that I may become wise.

If not for God, man would have wasted my life and I might

have returned to the dust empty-handed, without any trace or footprint of me,

if I have ever passed through this world. My Messiah has ransomed me,

as the one who has been held captive is now set free forever.

Behold, I walk around in liberty with integrity. He has cleansed me from

all of my errors and made me white as snow, as the Lord has purified my life.

If not for God, I may never have triumphed over my adversaries.

If not for God, I may have not yet discovered my full potential and know

my purpose why in the first place I was born into earth.

If not for God, I might not know what day and night look like and what is the taste of honey, whether it is sweet or bitter.

I thank the Lord who turned His face towards me, that I am now more than a conqueror
