Syria’s second largest city falls to militants

Aleppo, Syria which is the country’s second largest city fell to Islamic militant group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). This jihadist group is an affiliate of Al-Qaeda, and was at the forefront in the war 4 years back against President Assad. More than 300 people, including 20 civilians, have said to have died since Wednesday, with the Syrian army withdrawing and Russia beginning its first missile strikes since 2016.

Let’s Pray:

Father, let Your peace prevail in the city of Aleppo and throughout the nation of Syria. We ask that every force of violence and bloodshed of the enemy be repealed in Jesus’ mighty name. We pray against the darkness of radical Islamism and bind it in the blood of Jesus, that it will not prevail over Syria. We ask that every Syrian find true salvation in Your blessed name, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to You in a time when You may be found; Surely in a flood of great waters they will not reach him. You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble;
You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.

Psalm 32:6-7
