Around 1700 civilians have been killed, and over 2 million people have been displaced due to a war between the government army and Islam jihadists in Burkina Faso. An estimated 800,000 live under blockade by the Islamist militants, who have reportedly forced school closures and limited access to water.
Let’s Pray:
Lord, we ask for Your mercy for Burkina Faso. You see the suffering of the people. We really have no one to rely on but You, O Lord. We pray for Your intervention in this land. May You pour out Your mercy and peace on the land and cater to the needs of the people who are suffering because of the war. We know that You are a good Father who hears and answers our prayers. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
“I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none will make you afraid; I will rid the land of evil beasts, and the sword will not go through your land.”
~Leviticus 26:6
