11 killed in Vancouver car attack

11 people, including a 5-year old girl, were killed in Saturday night’s attack in Vancouver, Canada. The 30-year old man, Kai-Ji Adam Lo, drove his car through the streets which were packed with nearly 100,000 people mostly from the Filipino community, who were celebrating their ‘Lapu Lapu day’ festival. Authorities have detained the man and have ruled out any act of terrorism and are leaning towards mental health issues with the culprit, who has had previous encounters with the law. The death toll is also expected to go up, with many of the injured in the hospital in critical condition.

Let’s Pray:

Father Lord, we pray and ask for Thy grace and healing in the hearts of the grieving and Thy comfort in their distressed souls. May they find hope and peace in Your Presence. We ask for all the injured to make miraculous recoveries by the power of Your name, El-Rapha. We also pray for the protection and the prevailing of Your divine will during the country’s elections that are now ongoing. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed;
Save me and I will be saved,
For You are my praise.

Jeremiah 17:14
